This Wedding was a bit different for us, Usually we dont do Video without doing the Photography, However Julie and Jay contacted us asking if we could do their Wedding film as they liked our style and had already booked their photographer before they found us and we decided it would be a nice change for us to concentrate on just video for the day, so we met Julie and Jay when they were over in November last year and chatted about their special day.
We arrived at Julie’s apartment the morning of her wedding day to find she was very relaxed, she was getting ready with her two best friends from Uni, Samantha and Victoria, all three girls were in good sprits and made us feel so welcome from the time we arrived… Julie was having her makeup done by Judith from Beauty & Stageworks we have never worked with Judith before and it was a real pleasure and Julie’s makeup looked amazing.
We left the girls doing their finishing touches and went over to meet Jay who wasn’t so relaxed, however we filmed him getting ready and he seems to relax more and was great for the camera.
This couple chose to have their ceremony and Reception at the stunning Vale da Oliveiras in Carveiro and as Jay waited for his bride with his best man Brian who is also his Dad. Filipe our drone Pilot was our eye in the Sky and capturing all the important moments from the air.
The Ceremony was lovely and after the couple exchanged vows and rings they had a Chinese Tea Ceremony which we have never witnesses before and was lovely to watch.
After the ceremony there were Canapés and Cocktails in the stunning gardens and then we grabbed the couple to get some footage in the beautiful spa area for their one to one session, we have done a few weddings at this venue before so knew the best place to take them and we did have a laugh with them and both were great fun.
The evening meal started off with the speeches, and first speech was from Julie’s Dad, David Cheng and it was very emotional not just for Julie but for all their family and friends and looking round there we not many dry eyes.
After the BBQ Meal, the couple cut their cake and went straight into their first dance and as the sun dropped the dance floor filled up, we left the couple enjoying their rest of their weddings and and after cuddles from the bridesmaids we left.
