Kellie and I have waited a very long time to do this wedding and what a wedding! Let me take you back 2 years where we received a message from Emer and Philip this Irish Couple from for Dublin who were just starting the planning of their Algarve wedding for September 2018, they had visited a few venues but had not decided yet and was in the Algarve at the time and wanted to meet us, so we had a meeting a few days later at the Vidamar Resort and the meeting was a ball, apart from them loving our work we all hit it off immediately and we were so excited when they booked us to capture their special day for them.

Emer and Philip loved the Vidamar so shortly after they booked it. We kept in touch and then in the January 2017 Kellie and I went to Dublin and we had to catch up with these guys, this was the start of many get togethers and times spent together. Emer became such a lovely friend that when a situation arose and she found herself a Wedding planner down it only felt right for Kellie to step in, well that’s what friends do..So for the past 18 months Emer and Kellie have been busying away planning the perfect Algarve Wedding.

The day had come after years of talks and messages. Emer and Philip had booked the Elegance Package which is our package that has everything, All Day Photography, Extended Highlights, Drone, Out takes and the deluxe album. So Emer and Philip had the whole team with them for the day.

Kellie, Megan and Brandon arrived at the Vidamar bright and early and decorated the wedding area. Olga, Filipe and I arrived for bridal prep and we have never done a Bridal prep like it…

Emer had booked Soraia from Love your Style with Anabela from Bebela doing her hair, these guys are awesome, so professional and as you can see amazing at what they do.

The thing we loved about Emer is she wanted to be different, she had some amazing ideas for her Wedding but one we had never seen before and thought was just amazing was the “BRIDE” balloons which were organised by Kellie and were delivered and arranged for her in her room on the morning of the wedding, must admit, Emer and Kellie You did good……Think you may have started something now in the Algarve!
Emer had her three best friends getting ready with her, Ashling was her matron of honour and Denise and Maria were her bridesmaids, all were so friendly and were wearing matching PJ’s, so we suggested a pillow fight and why not!…Don’t worry Soraia and Anabela the hair and makeup was not touched, but the girls had a giggle and we did too capturing the moment.
It was now time to get Emer into her dress and as her bridesmaids had not seen it she wanted to surprise them so it was very rare to have Emer getting dressed with just the JHP team with her and Kellie doing up her abundant of buttons which she had on her stunning Wedding dress, we stood back and when her best friends came in there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

We left the ladies and joined the boys, had a few fun shots with them and then a nervous Philip took his place at the alter to wait for his bride, Emer looked so happy as her Dad, John escorted his daughter towards Philip as Nicole Silver performed the ceremony vocals.

Jonas was holding the ceremony and is very romantic and personal, after a few readings and once the wedding rings were passed around the couples friends and family to hold and make a wish they were then placed on Emer and Philips fingers and they were at last husband and wife…Look how happy these guys were as they walked back down the isle with everyone blowing bubbles….

It was time to enjoy the cocktail hour where Emer and Philip chatted and laughed with their guests and we did a few group shots, with Emer looking as stunning as she did we got her to stand at the bottom of the isle holding her beautiful flower which were provide by Michelle from Xeli Flores and we could get the details that was on the back of her dress all the buttons dotted with crystals.

The guest then all sat down for the meal and Kellie announced the Bride and Groom for their entrance, then it was straight into the speeches. Father of the bride John start them off. Philip who did a very warm heart felt thank you to Kellie, Megan and I for all our help.

Emer’s bridesmaid, Ashling also got up to say a few works, she mentioned a very good friend of theirs, Tammy who sadly left this world and who’s birthday it was and who was watching over them all on this special day, I have to say it was very touching and brought tears to everyone including us.

After the couple had dried their eyes it was time for their one to one session, and with the drone flying high above them capturing their walk down to the beach on this warm September evening. Once we hit the sand out came the flashes and our lens ball which is a first for us to use it at a wedding, I think we nailed it.

We then all headed back to enjoy our meal, Emer and Philip had included us in the guests list so we were seated with everyone and ate with their guests which was very kind of them, the meal was excellent and we really felt part of the wedding.

It was time to cut the cake who was beautifully made by Louise from A Taste of Decadence, but Emer and Philip didn’t just cut their cake they let off the LED balloons supplied by Algarve Wedding Balloons and also they had the firework fountains provide by Algarve Wedding  Fountains and Firework Display

It was then back for Emer and Philip to do their first dance on the breath taking light up dance floor that was provided by Memory Box and with Nicole Silver and her band preforming we knew it was going to be a great evening.

The party really got started and everyone including us was on the dance floor.

Emer and Philip we have truly made some amazing friends and have enjoyed joining you on this two year journey we have taken together, your wedding is one we will always remember and we wish you both all the luck and happiness for the future however we will aways be in touch so this is not good bye, Love ya both 🙂
